This is a rare opportunity to own this highly sought-after and screen-accurate chocolate wrappers and golden ticket display set. These reproduction props are professionally printed using the best quality materials. They are created using traditional film and television art department techniques for added authenticity and so is perfect for on-screen or display use. This auction includes:
Fickelgruber’s Juicy Bar Wrapper (measures approx. 190mm x 148mm)
Slugworth’s Sizzler Wrapper (measures approx. 197mm x 148mm)
Wonka Bar Wrapper (measures approx. 240mm x 162mm)
Wonka Fudge Mallow Wrapper (measures approx. 258mm x 136mm)
Wonka Scrumdidilyumptious Wrapper (measures approx. 262mm x 120mm)
Wonka’s Golden Ticket (untrimmed or scalloped options measure approx. 170mm x 88mm)
Note: This is for a chocolate glossy paperstock wrapper display set as pictured and does not contain any chocolate or silver chocolate foil wrappings. The golden foil ticket is available in single-sided (ideal for display and is silver on the reverse) or thinker double-sided (for loose display or cosplay) with either a handcut scalloped edge or untrimmed straight edges. The wrappers are screen-accurate with a little extra to the edges to help with anyone wanting to wrap existing bars as chocolate/candy bars vary in size across the world. It is also worth mentioning that the Wonka Bar and Scrumdidilyumptious also feature additional infomation such as ingredients and packed by the Quaker Oats Company exactly like the original props. If you would rather that the wording be changed to Willy Wonka Chocolate Factory instead please do let us know.
Important Note: There are two styles of golden ticket available, one style has a handcut scalloped edge like the screen-used tickets and the other an untrimmed straight-cut also pictured. Both styles are available in single-sided or double-sided gold foil depending on our preference. We find that the single-sided gold foil version is nicer for framing or display as it is smoother and less prone to any imperfections (and works out cheaper too!) Please bear in mind that the scalloped edge tickets are trimmed and handcut just like the movie version and so have the same imperfections as the originals! It is also worth noting that the nature of foils are that they are easily marked by oils fingerprints so be sure to handle the tickets from the edges or as little as possible!
Trivia: After reading the script, Gene Wilder said he would take the role of Willy Wonka under one condition: that he would be allowed to limp, then suddenly somersault in the scene when he first meets the children. When director Mel Stuart asked why, Wilder replied that having Wonka do this meant that "from that time on, no one will know if I'm lying or telling the truth." Stuart asked, "If I say no, you won't do the picture?" and Wilder said "I'm afraid that's the truth."
