This is a rare opportunity to own these highly sought-after prop certificates inspired by the fictional Starfleet Academy and awarded to Jean-Luc Picard. These reproduction props are professionally printed using the best quality materials. They are created using traditional film and television art department techniques for added authenticity and so are perfect for on-screen, cosplay gathering or display use. The set of four certificates includes:
Starfleet Academy: Danula II Marathon, 2323 - Jean-Luc Picard
Starfleet Academy: Degree of Command and Control - Jean-Luc Picard
Starfleet: The Speed of Light Club, Class of 2327 - Jean-Luc Picard
Starfleet: Certificate of Honor - Jean-Luc Picard
Note: These four certificates are created using various different textured papers and light cardstocks similar to the styles used by the individual productions so may not have the same finishes and measurements to each other. The certificates / diplomas can be seen across many of the films and series. It is worth noting however, that the Starfleet Academy Marathon certificate has changed slightly with each appearance from a version entirely printed on white, printed on textured oyster paperstock to a more special adaptation with gold foil featured in the Picard family album. The one created for this set is white with gold foil details as pictured.
Custom Version/s Note: Custom versions of the certificates are available where the name can be amended from Jean-Luc Picard to a name of your choice. There are currently no other customisation options available. When making a purchase of a custom certificate from the drop-down options please send us a message or simply leave us a note to let us know the name you wish to replace Picard’s name with. Please ensure that the alternate name is spelled correctly!
Trivia: Gene Roddenberry initially refused to cast Sir Patrick Stewart as Picard. Roddenberry had envisioned a younger captain, with a full head of hair. But Stewart so impressed producer Robert H. Justman that Justman campaigned for him to be cast. Roddenberry finally relented after every other considered actor auditioned and Stewart was the only one who was right for the role.
