James Bond - "Sean Connery"

Note: This auction is for a vintage-style mid-1960s prop log book featuring details of Bond’s DB5 (registered by Universal Exports and modified by Q Branch.) The folded double-sided card is made of a mid-weight premium cardstock with a similar stiffness to the ones at the time of issue (essentially a little stiffer and cleaner than surviving log books of the era which have been handled for the best part of 60 years!)

Trivia: There were two Aston Martins created for this movie. One is owned by a private collector, who paid over $4 million in 2010. The other one was purchased by a private collector in 1986 for $250,000. That car was parked at an airport in Boca Raton, Florida when, in June 1997, it was stolen under suspicious circumstances. The thieves broke into the guarded Boca Raton airport. The alarm wires of the hangar were cut, and even though the keys were not in the car, the car vanished without a trace. Its whereabouts are still unknown as of March 19, 2019.
