Trivia: The intelligence folder seen early in the film has seen much debate over the years due to it’s brief and unclear appearance. It was generally believed that it may have been from an American intelligence agency given that it was in the possession of Major Eaton and Colonel Musgrove, Army Intelligence bureaucrats based out of Washington DC. Upon closer inspection however, the folder appears to be a British Secret Intelligence file featuring the royal warrant and the distinctive red diagonal stripe (as seen in a variety of the wartime and period spy movies of the era.) The production’s art department had certainly done their homework, as during that period much of Egypt was under British control and any surveillance operations would have been actioned by their intelligence services.
