This is a rare opportunity to own these highly sought-after and screen-accurate ‘Burglar Protected’ prop static clings / car window decals inspired by Bond's Lotus Esprit side window! These reproduction prop are professionally printed using the best quality materials. They are created using traditional film and television art department techniques for added authenticity and so are perfect for on-screen or display use.

Note: This listing is for a pair of premium-grade self-clinging white vinyl 'static clings' as pictured (the rear of the decals are white). 'Static clings' require no adhesive and are generally used for temporary interior installations such as window displays. They can be applied to be viewed from the inside or the outside of a window. They have no adhesive and can easily be removed, reused and repositioned. These triangular static clings' each measure approximately 91mm x 45mm. For more durable exterior-use sticker versions please check out our other auctions.

Important Note: 'Static clings' are not weatherproof and tend to be used for temporary applications as temperature, wind and rain may limit their long-term cling ability.

Application Advice: Static clings adhere through suction with the natural static created on a surface. The window surface must be clean, smooth and as close to room temperature as possible as cold surfaces may reduce the cling of the vinyl. These window decals may be applied dry. (Larger decals should be applied by wetting the surface and the 'static cling' with glass cleaner or a soap and water mixture. For either dry or wet application, use a squeegee, credit card or something similar to smooth the decal onto the surface.)

Trivia: In this movie's conclusion, Bond uses his shoelaces to create a Prusik knot, attaching himself to his climbing rope so he can ascend a mountain. This technique, which is indeed possible to do with shoelaces, was invented by Austrian mountaineer Karl Prusik, and is common amongst climbers. The Prusik knot celebrated its 50th anniversary the year this movie was released, having first appeared in an Austrian mountaineering manual for rope ascending in 1931.
